DALLAS, Nov. 5, 2026 — Dallas plastic surgeon, Dr. Rod J. Rohrich, has been ranked the top facelift surgeon in the United States for the sixth consecutive year in Newsweek's America's Best Plastic Surgeons 2026. Dr. Rohrich has held the top position in facelift surgery every year since the rankings were first published in 2021.

Dr. Rod J. Rohrich Honored as the Best Facelift Surgeon in the United States for 6 Consecutive Years

Newsweek, in partnership with global data research firm Statista, compiles the annual America's Best Plastic Surgeons rankings across six cosmetic surgery categories. For the 2026 edition, thousands of medical professionals with knowledge of plastic surgery participated in an online survey conducted from April through May. More than 10,000 votes were collected, and 235 plastic surgeons were recognized in the facelift category.

The 2026 scoring model combined peer recommendations, quality-of-care assessments, and professional certification. Reputation scores based on peer recommendations accounted for 80% of the final score, quality assessments accounted for 15%, and certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery accounted for 5%. For in-state recommendations, participants also evaluated factors including consultation, complications, follow-up care, and surgical outcomes.

Facelift surgery addresses multiple components of facial aging, including skin laxity, changes in the deeper facial tissue, and age-related shifts in facial volume. Dr. Rohrich's approach emphasizes individualized surgical planning based on each patient's anatomy and pattern of aging, with an emphasis on restoring facial balance while maintaining natural proportions and avoiding an overly operated appearance.

"A successful facelift should make a patient look refreshed and naturally rejuvenated, not different," says Dr. Rohrich. "Facial aging is highly individual, so the surgical plan must be equally individualized. The goal is to restore balance and youthful contour while creating a result that continues to look natural over time."

Dr. Rohrich frequently teaches and lectures on advances in facial rejuvenation, including deep plane facelift techniques and the importance of addressing facial volume as part of a comprehensive approach to aging. His educational work also emphasizes careful anatomical assessment, patient safety, and selecting the appropriate combination of procedures for each individual patient.

"Being recognized by my peers as the top facelift surgeon for six consecutive years is a tremendous honor," adds Dr. Rohrich. "Newsweek's rankings provide patients with a useful resource as they research their options and evaluate important factors such as board certification, training, experience, quality of care, and surgical outcomes. Choosing the right surgeon remains one of the most important decisions a patient can make."

In addition to his #1 ranking in facelift surgery, Dr. Rohrich earned #1 rankings in rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, and liposuction in Newsweek's 2026 lists. He also ranked #2 in breast augmentation and tummy tuck, placing him among the highest-ranked surgeons across all six procedure categories.
